SLCG APPREHENDED A STOCK OF ILLEGALY HARVESTED SEA CUCUMBER

CG personnel attached to Fishing Monitoring Post of Kudawella Fishery Harbour seized approx. 4560 kg of illegally harvested sea cucumber while searching fishing vessel ‘SenaliDuwa’ at Kudawella Fishery Harbour on 24th September 2020. Preliminary investigation revealed that the illegal stock has been harvested near Chagos Island.

The fishing vessel and the illegally harvested stock of Sea Cucumber handed over to Fishery Inspector, Kudawella for legal action.
