SRI LANKA COAST GUARD CONTINUES COMMUNITY WELFARE PROJECTS

Sri Lanka Coast Guard distributed a consignment of wall paints to the community in Kirinda area on 06th April 2021 in view of forthcoming Sinhala and Hindu New Year.

Two Buddhist Temples, one Primary School, two Pre-schools and seventeen low-income families in Kirinda area were benefited by receiving packages of paint worth of Rs. 25,000 each. The officers and the staff of Coast Guard Station Kirinda undertook this project under the direction of the Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake.

The beneficiaries of this project - whose income were badly hit due to prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, expressed their gratitude to Sri Lanka Coast Guard for this timely initiated charity service.
