COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCAL MALES IN TWO SUCCESSFUL RESCUE ATTEMPTS

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts, Panadura and Unawatuna saved two local males during successful rescue attempts on 14th April 2021.

A 21-year-old male from Monaragala was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Panadura beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Panadura Beach. Another 35 years old male was also rescued by Coast Guard life savers at Unawatuna Beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1557 invaluable lives including 704 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
