COAST GUARD RESCUED THREE LOCALS FROM DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Benthota beach saved three local surf bathers during a successful rescue attempt on 20th November 2022.

A 14-year-old female teenager and 24, 21-year-old two males were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Benthota lifesaving post whilst drowning at sea. The rescues were transferred to District hospital Benthota by the Suwaseriya ambulance service.

Up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1777 invaluable lives including 765 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
