COAST GUARD ARRESTED A PERSON WITH NARCOTICS

Coast Guard personnel attached to the Coast Guard Station Beruwala arrested a person in possession of Kerala Cannabis inside a traveling bag onboard a Fishing Vessel at the Beruwala Fishery Harbour on 21^st November 2022.

During the departure formalities, Coast Guard personnel carried out a thorough search onboard the fishing vessel, and found 50g of Kerala Cannabis concealed inside a bag belonging to a crew member of the fishing vessel.

The arrested suspect and apprehended items were handed over to the Police Station, Beruwala for further investigations/ Legal action.
