Two Indian Coast Guard Ships, ICGS ‘Samar’ and ICGS ‘Aryaman’ arrived at Port of Colombo on 01st December 2018 on a goodwill visit. The ships were ceremonially welcomed by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard in accordance with traditions on their arrival. Two ships will stay 03 days at CBO and will leave for Galle on 04th December for 03 days visit.
The Commanding Officers of both ships paid courtesy call on the Commander of the Navy, Deputy Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard and the Commander Western Naval Area. They held cordial discussions on mutual interest matters and exchanged mementoes to mark the occasion.
A series of activities are planned during ships’ stay at CBO including onboard training sessions for SLCG personnel, friendly volleyball matches, beach cleaning programme, onboard visits for SLCG & SL Navy families visits and receptions onboard.
