SRI LANKA COAST GUARD LAUNCHED “PUNARUDAYA” TREE PLANTING PROJECT

Sri Lanka Coast Guard launched Tree Planting Project on 5th November 2018 accomplishing its responsibility towards nation in protecting environment by planting 1000 trees along the coastal area of Panadura, Dikovita, Weligama, Oluvil, Balapitiya, Trincomalee and Thondamanaru in Jaffna areas. The officers of Department of Coastal Conservation and Coastal Resource Management, Sri Lanka Police and school children / civilians also participated for the event.

The event was conducted in parallel to the “Punarudaya” national tree planting project launched under the patronage of Presidential Secretariat.
