TEN LIVES WERE RESCUED BY SLCG LIFE SAVERS WITHIN A WEEK

Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) life servers deployed at Mirissa, Unawatuna, and Bentota have rescued 10 foreigners between 15th to 21st March Indian( 02 female,01 male) ,British (01 male), Russian(01 each male and female), Czech Republic (1 each male and female) Belorussian (1 each male and female), while drowning, and dragging away with the current. The quick response of SLCG Life Savers enabled saving of valuable human lives. Rescued persons were handed over to their relatives and health conditions of the victims were stable at the time of handing over.

SLCG has deployed Life Savers in 13 most famous beaches around Sri Lanka to protect people from drowning incident. SLCG has marked its 1263 life rescue by accomplishing the SLCG lifesaving motto “We Save Lives”.
