A FRENCH DELEGATION CALLS ON DIRECTOR GENERAL SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

A French delegation headed by Captain Jean-Rene Degans of French Navy, Liaison Officer at the Information fusion Center in Singapore calls on the Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Samantha Wimalathunge on 22nd May 2019 at Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Headquarters, Wellawatte.

The Regional Defence Attache of the French Embassy, Lieutenant Commander Philippe Grussenmeyer and Cammander Sebastien Tarqies (French Navy) State Action at Sea Advisor to Flag Officer Commanding French Forces in South Indian Ocean also represented the Delegation. They held bilateral discussion on “countering Maritime elements in human smuggling” focused on finding opportunities to sharing information regarding the cases of maritime human smuggling to Reunion Island within a more operational framework.
