INDIAN COAST GUARD SHIP ‘SANKALP’ ARRIVES AT PORT OF GALLE

The Indian Coast Guard Ship (ICGS) ‘Sankalp’ arrived at the port of Galle on 31st May 2019 on a logistic/good will visit. The ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Coast Guard in accordance with traditions on its arrival.

Upon the arrival of the ship at the harbour, Commanding Officer of ICGS ‘Sankalp’ DIG Prashant Kumar Sharma paid a courtesy call on the Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kassapa Gotabhaya Paul and also met the Deputy Director General -SLCG. They held cordial discussion on several matters of mutual importance and mementos were also exchanged to mark this important occasion.

The ship left the port of Galle in the morning 2nd June 2019 to return home after successful completion of the visit.
