NINE FISHERMEN APPREHENDED FOR ENGAGED IN ILLEGAL FISHING

SLCG personnel deployed at Coast Guard Station Point Pedro arrested/ apprehended nine fishermen along with three Dinghies engaged in harvesting Sea Cucumbers (approx 500 Kgs) without Fishing License off Point Pedro.

Arrested/apprehended persons and three Dinghies/ fishing gears were handed over to Assistant Director Fisheries Jaffna for onward legal action.
