CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCE OF THE MALDIVES NATIONAL DEFENCE FORCE PAID A COURTESY CALL ON DIRECTOR GENERAL SRI LANKA COAST GUARD

The Chief of Defence Force of the Maldives National Defence Force, Major General Abdulla Shamaal MA, MSc, ndu, psc who is on an official visit to Sri Lanka paid a courtesy call on Rear Admiral GDAS Wimalathunge, RWP, VSV, USP, nswc, MSc (DS) Mgt, MA (SSS), MSc, (NS &WS), Director General of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 30th August 2019 at Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Headquarters, Wellawatte.

They held cordial discussions focused on the matters of mutual importance and mementos were also exchange signifying the event. The Chief of Defence Force of Maldives said that it’s close and friendly relations with Sri Lanka which have been nurtured over decades through a continues interaction at all levels. Maldives National Defence Force and Sri Lanka Coast Guard have been maintaining a very close relationship since 2010 and this call on will surely enhance the bilateral cooperation and goodwill of the two friendly forces/ nations.
