CG 410 HANDED OVER TO SRI LANKA COAST GUARD AFTER REFIT

Sri Lanka Coast Guard Fast Patrol Boat (FPB), CG 410 handed over to LCdr WMCP Wanigasekara, Officer in Command on 17th November 2019 by the Commander Eastern Naval Area Rear Admiral PM Wickramasinghe, RWP, RSP, USP, ndc, MSc (NS & WS), nswc after successful completion of her refit at the SLN Dockyard Trincomalee.

CG 410 had been at SLN Dockyard Trincomalee for a period of 3 years to undertake her maintenance that included major repairs for craft’s hull, propulsion & auxiliaries. All maintenance had been undertaken by the Engineering and Electrical staff of SLN Eastern Naval Command.

CG 410 was originally joined to Sri Lanka Navy in 1988 as P 468 and later re-pennant as P443.The craft is a Super Dvora class fast patrol boat built by the Air Craft Industries Ltd in Israel and was subsequently, handed over to Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 10th November 2011 to strengthen the Coast Guard capabilities to ensure the maritime security of Sri Lankan waters.
