SRI LANKA COAST GUARD FOIL GOLD SMUGGLING ATTEMPT

Fast Patrol Boat attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Northern Region apprehended over 05kg of gold being smuggled to India via sea route on 29th August.

SLCG Fast Patrol Boat on Patrol intercepted a suspicious Fiber Glass Dinghy moving towards Indian waters and arrested 02 suspects with 05.5kg gold in 04 sealed packs smuggling into India. Arrested suspects with smuggled gold and FGD handed over to Sri Lanka Custom Office, Jaffna for further investigation.
