SRI LANKA COAST GUARD LIFE SAVING TRAINING SCHOOL CONDUCTS LIFESAVING AWARENESS PROGRAMME TO REWATHA NATIONAL COLLEGE

Sri Lanka Coast Guard’s Life Saving Training School (LSTS) – Balapitiya, conducted a two days Lifesaving awareness progamme for the school children of Balapitiya Rewatha National College, Galle on 12th -13th February 2018.

More than 180 children participated for the first day progarmme which was conducted at Rewatha college premises. The Second day programme included more techniques of life saving and practical first-aid demonstrations, conducted at Balapitiya beach. School children as well as their parents participated for this programme.

This was conducted as an initiative of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard to develop personal safety and drowning prevention awareness among the school children. LSTS has been conducting many such programmes for school children, civil organizations and Fishermen since its establishment in 2012.
