SRI LANKA COAST GUARD JOINED WITH INTERNATIONAL COASTAL CLEANUP 2020

SLCG participated Islandwide coastal cleanup campaign on 19th September marking the ‘National Marine Resources Conservation Week’ which falls on the third week of September each year.

The main coastal cleanup event ‘International Coastal Cleanup- 2020’ was held at ‘Mount Lavinia beach’ under the aegis of the Prime Minister Hon. Mahinda Rajapaksha with participation of more than 500 volunteers and state employees. The Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Samantha Wimalathunge, RWP,VSV,USP,nswc,MSc(DS),Mgt also took part in the event .
