COAST GUARD ASSISTS ARREST OF 03 SUSPECTS WITH ILLEGAL DRUGS

Sri Lanka Coast Guard in coordination with the Police nabbed 3 suspects in possession of heroin and Crystal Methamphetamine (ICE), during special operations conducted in Dehiwala 11th January 2021.

Based on information of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, a combine operation carried out by the Divisional Crime Bureau, Mount Lavinia and Coast Guard personnel attached to Western Region, arrested the suspects in possession with 2100mg of Heroin and 20 mg of Crystal Methamphetamine whist attempting to sell.

The arrested persons are residents of Dehiwala, from 21 to 41 years of age. The apprehended individuals along with narcotic substances were handed over to the Police station, Mount Lavinia for onward legal action.
