COAST GUARD RESCUED A DROWNING LOCAL MALE

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Panadura saved a local male during a successful rescue attempt on 02nd April 2021.

The rescuer, a 21 years old male from Kandapola was rescued around 1715 hrs on 02nd April 2021 whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Panadura Beach.

The swift responses by skilled life savers of Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for all three drowning youths despite heavy current prevailed in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1554 invaluable lives including 703 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
