The Life Saving Training School Balapitiya of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard successfully concluded Basic Lifesaving training for nine Airmen and four Army personnel from 31st May to 04th June 2021.The course covered practical and theoretical training related to basic lifesaver should learn during 05 days period. The participants were taught about history of lifesaving, life savings equipments, water safety, and basic rescue methods. Apart from class room instructions practical training conducted on basic rescue methods, first aid method of DRSABCD and water safety. The course was conducted adhering to the Covid 19 health guidelines under the close supervision of the OIC and Training Officer of the School. The Army and Air Force participants showed agreat enthusiasm to accomplish the training. They will be able to save many valuable lives all over the country wherever they are utilized. The Life Saving Training School of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard has provided Basic Life Saving training to 380 Soldiers and Airmen to date.
