CAPTAIN ARUNA WIJAYAWARDHANA ASSUMED COMMAND OF COAST GUARD CAPITAL SHIP SURAKSHA

Captain ( C )Aruna Wijayawardhana, RSP and Bar, psc assumed duties as Commanding Officer of SLCGS Suraksha, the capial ship of Sri Lanka Coast Guard on 30^th June 2021

The Change of Command Ceremony was graced by the Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayaka, RSP and Bar USP psc. The former Commanding Officer of the ship Captain (N) Ruwan Rupasena, RWP, RSP, psc formally handed over the duties to his successor after brief but colourful ceremony at Passenger Terminal, Colombo harbour. The proceedings of the event came to a closure after an inspection of divisions by new Commanding Officer. Captain Ruwan Rupasena appointed as Head of Training Team, Defence Services Command and Staff College, Sapugaskanda.
