COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCAL DROWNING MALES AT MT LAVINIA BEACH

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mt Lavinia rescued two 18 years old males residents of Maharagama, during successful rescue attempts on 16^th October 2021. They were rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Mt Lavinia Beach.

The swift responses by skilled life savers of the Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for drowning males despite heavy current prevailed in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1579 invaluable lives including 704 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
