COAST GUARD RESCUED AN INDIAN NATIONAL AT MIRISSA BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Lifesaving Post Mirissa, saved an Indian lady in a successful rescue attempt on 20th December 2021.The lady of 25 years of age was rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents at Mirissa Beach.

The swift responses by skilled lifesavers of Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for the life of this young lady. So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1622 invaluable lives including 712 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
