COAST GUARD RESCUED SIX LOCALS AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts, Panadura and Benthota, rescued six locals during three successful rescue attempts on 25th and 26th December 2021.

A 13 years old boy resident of Moratuwa and 21 years old male resident of Mt Lavinia were rescued by Coast Guard lifesavers at Panadura beach. Another 21 years old lady and 13 years old boy from Ingiriya were rescued by Coast Guard lifesavers at Benthota beach on 25th December 2021. A 36 years old male resident of Grandpass and 15 years old boy were also rescued by Coast Guard lifesavers at Benthota beach on 26th December 2021.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1628 invaluable lives including 712 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
