YOUNG BOY RESCUED AT PASIKUDA

Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts, Pasikuda Trincomalee rescued sixteen years old school boy during successful rescue attempt approx. 1630 hrs on 07^th January 2022.

A school boy from Valachchenai has visited Pasikuda public beach with relatives and vigilant SLCG lifesavers noticed victim whilst drowning and dragging away by sea currents near Pasikuda beach. The condition of the victim was stable and handed over to relatives.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1636 invaluable lives including 712 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
