YOUNG GIRL RESCUED AT MORAGOLLA BEACH

Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts Moragoalla, Aluthgama rescued eighteen years old girl during successful rescue attempts approx. 1600 hrs on 8^th January 2022.

The girl, resident of Pannipitiya had visited Moragolla public beach with her mother and vigilant SLCG lifesavers noticed victim whilst drowning and dragging away by sea currents. The condition of the victim was stable and handed over to Mother.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1637 invaluable lives including 712 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
