ANOTHER LIFE RESCUE RECORDED AT BENTHOTA

Recording another successful life rescue incident, Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Posts Benthota beach rescued two local civilians approx.1630 hrs on 10^thJanuary 2022.

The victims from Aththannakadawala and Ratnapura area had visited Benthota beach with a group of friends and vigilant SLCG lifesavers noticed victims whilst drowning and dragging away by sea currents. The condition of the victims was stable and they left the location with other friends.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1639 invaluable lives including 712 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
