COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCAL MALES FROM DROWNING AT BENTHOTA BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to the Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Benthota beach saved two local males during successful rescue attempts on 28th January 2022.

Two boys (15 years and 14 years old) from Aluthgama were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Benthota beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Benthota beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1648 invaluable lives including 715 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
