COAST GUARD RESCUED FOUR FOREIGNERS AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Benthota rescued four Kazakhstan nationals, during successful rescue attempts on 11th February 2022. Three Kazakhstan males and a female were rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Benthota beach.

The swift responses by skilled life savers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for drowning foreigners despite heavy current prevailed in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1658 invaluable lives including 722 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
