COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCALS AT RISK OF DROWNING

Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mt Lavinia rescued two local males during successful rescue attempts on 25^th and 26^th February 2022.

A 17 years old boy from Rathmalana was rescued by Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers at Mt Lavinia beach on 25^th February 2022 and another 52 years old male from Wellawaththa was also rescued by Coast Guard lifesavers at Mt Lavinia beach on 26^th February 2022. Both victims were transferred to Teaching Hospital Kalubowila by Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service to provide further medical care.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1666 invaluable lives including 726 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
