COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCALS AT RISK OF DROWNING

Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mt Lavinia rescued two local males during successful rescue attempts on 25th and 26th February 2022.

A 17 years old boy from Rathmalana was rescued by Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers at Mt Lavinia beach on 25th February 2022 and another 52 years old male from Wellawaththa was also rescued by Coast Guard lifesavers at Mt Lavinia beach on 26th February 2022. Both victims were transferred to Teaching Hospital Kalubowila by Suwa Seriya Ambulance Service to provide further medical care.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1666 invaluable lives including 726 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
