COAST GUARD RESCUED A FOREIGNER AND TWO LOCALS AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Posts, Mirissa and Pasikuda saved a Russian national and two local males during two successful rescue attempts on 04th March 2022.

A 27 years old Russian lady was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Mirissa beach and two 19 years old local males from Kalmunei were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Pasikuda beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1673 invaluable lives including 727 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
