COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LOCAL PERS AT RISK OF DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Posts Panadura and Gopalapuram saved two local males during two successful rescue attempts on 10th March 2022.

19 years old male person from Wadduwa was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Panadura beach and 47 years old male of Jaffna area was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Gopalapuram beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1688 invaluable lives including 731 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
