COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO FOREIGNERS DROWNING AT HIKKADUWA BEACH

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Hikkaduwa rescued two Rusian females (64 & 57 years old) during a successful rescue attempt on 24^th March 2022. They were rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Hikkaduwa Beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1702 invaluable lives including 737 foreigners in number of successful rescue operations conducted in coastal areas of the country.
