Australian border forced (ABF) Superintendent (Ms.) Joanne Prior of Australian High Commission in India was made a short visit to Sri Lanka yesterday and despite her busy schedule, she was pleased to meet Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard (DG SLCG) at Coast Guard rear headquarters at Wellawatta on 31^st Mar 2022.

A visiting two member delegation of the New Zealand custom and New Zealand police paid a courtesy call to the Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard (DG SLCG) and the delegation was headed by the New Zealand High Commissioner in Sri Lanka and the Deputy Commissioner.

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mirissa rescued a 20 years old Indian female during a successful rescue attempt on 01^st April 2022. She was rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Mirissa Beach.
