COAST GUARD RESCUED FOREIGNER DROWNING AT MIRISSA BEACH

The Life Savers attached to Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mirissa rescued Rusian female (30 years old) during a successful rescue attempt on 07^th April 2022. She was rescued whilst drowning and dragging away by currents in front at Mirissa Beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard life savers have rescued a total of 1704 invaluable lives including 739 foreigners in number of successful rescue operation conducted in coastal areas of the country.
