COAST GUARD RESCUED A MALE FROM DROWNING AT MIRISSA BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Mirissa beach saved a local male during successful rescue attempt on 23rd April 2022.

A local male from Battaramulla was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Mirissa beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Mirissa beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1709 invaluable lives including 742 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
