COAST GUARD RESCUED A MALE FROM DROWNING AT HIKKADUWA BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Hikkaduwa beach rescued a local male during successful rescue operation on 11th June 2022.

25 years old local male from Mathugama was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Hikkaduwa beach whilst drowning sea. The swift responses by skilled lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for drowning persons despite heavy current prevailed in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1721 invaluable lives including 749 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
