COAST GUARD ARRESTED A PERSON WITH NARCOTICS

Coast Guard personnel attached to the Coast Guard Sub Station Point Pedro have arrested a person who was in possession of Heroin in the Point Pedro Fishery Harbour on 16^th July 2022.

At the time of the arrest, the Coast Guard personnel found 01g (11 small packets) of heroin in the suspect's possession. The 22-year-old suspect, a resident of Trincomalee, was arrested by the Coast Guard personnel who were on duty for his suspicious behaviour at the Fishery Harbour. Arrested suspect and apprehended Heroin handed over to the Police Station, Point Pedro for further investigations/ Legal action.
