COAST GUARD RESCUED TWO LADIES FROM DROWNING AT GOPALPURAM BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Life Saving Post, Gopalpuram beach saved two ladies during successful rescue attempt on 24^th July 2022.

Two ladies (Both 22 years old), residents of Trincomalee area were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Gopalpuram beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Gopalpuram beach.

The swift responses by skilled lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for these drowning ladies despite the heavy current prevailing in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1727 invaluable lives including 751 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
