COAST GUARD ARRESTED A PERSON WITH NARCOTICS

Coast Guard personnel attached to the Coast Guard Station Beruwala has arrested a person who was in possession of Heroin in the Beruwala Fishery Harbour on 24^th July 2022.

At the time of the arrest, the Coast Guard personnel found 440 mg (22 small packets) of Heroin in the suspect's possession. Based on the information received by the Coast Guard personnel, the 27-year-old suspect, a resident of Beruwala area, was arrested. The suspect is believed to be distributing drugs to fishermen in the area. Arrested suspect and apprehended Heroin handed over to the Police Station, Beruwala for further investigations/ Legal action.
