SEVA VANITHA WELFARE SHOP AT SLCG ROHANA DECLARED OPEN

The newly-renovated/ refurbished Seva Vanitha Welfare Shop at SLCG Rohana was declared open on 25^th July 2022 at Mirissa under the patronage of the President Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne. The Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard and the Deputy Chief of Staff Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake and Executive Committee Member of NSVU, Mrs. Sandya Ekanayake were also present at the occasion.

The Welfare Shop was constructed under the guidance of the President NSVU Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne in response to the request made by the Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard and the Deputy Chief of Staff Sri Lanka Navy Rear Admiral Anura Ekanayake, to offer a wide range of welfare benefits to the serving Coast Guard/ Naval personnel and their family members residing in Matara area.

The opening event was attended by Deputy Director General of SLCG, Commodore Pujitha Vithana, member of NVSU, Mrs. Rasika Vithana, Commanding Officer SLCG Rohana, Commander Dilhan Perera, senior and junior officers and staff of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit.
