COAST GUARD RESCUED ONE PERSONS FROM DROWNING AT GOPALPURAM BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Gopalpuram beach saved one persons during successful rescue attempt on 06th August 2022.

A 23 years old male, residents of Kurunegala area was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Gopalpuram beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Gopalpuram beach.

The swift responses by skilled lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for these drowning persons despite the heavy current prevailing in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1730 invaluable lives including 751 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
