COAST GUARD RESCUED A BOY FROM DROWNING AT PANADURA BEACH

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Panadura beach saved a person during a successful rescue attempt on 29th August 2022.

A 11 years old boy, a resident of the Walana area was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Panadura beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Panadura beach.

The swift responses by skilled lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for the drowning person despite the heavy current prevailing in the area.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1739 invaluable lives including 751 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
