COAST GUARD ARRESTED A PERSON WITH NARCOTICS

Coast Guard personnel attached to the Fishing Monitoring Point Wellamankara has arrested a person who was in possession of Heroin in the Wellamankara Fishery Harbour on 29^th September 2022.

At the time of the arrest, the Coast Guard personnel found 160mg of heroin in the suspect's possession. Based on the information received by the Coast Guard personnel, the 27-year-old suspect, a resident of the Marawila area, was arrested. The arrested suspect and apprehended items were handed over to the Police Station, Wennappuwa for further investigations/ Legal action.
