SRI LANKA COAST GUARD SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE THIRD ACQUAINTANCE TRAINING MODULE IN 2022 AT ATC KIRINDA

Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) Advanced Training Centre (ATC) is designed to provide advanced training to newly joined Coast Guard personnel on developing the skills related to Maritime Law Enforcement, Search and Rescue (SAR), Maritime Safety, and Marine Environment Protection. Accordingly, the third training module in the year 2022 commenced on 29th August 2022 and it comprised with 25 Coast Guard personnel including 02 officers, 06 senior sailors and 17 junior sailors.

This Acquaintance Course facilitates the transfer of knowledge required for the effective performance of Coast Guard duties and functions for the officers and sailors recently deputed to the Sri Lanka Coast Guard from the Sri Lanka Navy. During the course, intellectual assistance of the subject matter experts from the other local stakeholders was also obtained to enhance knowledge and share their valuable experiences with the newly joined Coast Guard personnel.

The course was successfully completed on 04th October 2022 and the course participants were awarded certificates at the certificate awarding ceremony upon successful completion of the course.
