AUSTRALIAN DELEGATION VISITED SRI LANKA COAST GUARD REAR HEADQUARTERS

The Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard welcomed the delegation of the Australian high commission at the Coast Guard Rear Headquarters, Wellawatte on 05^th October 2022. First Secretary Inspector Brett Zehnder of the Australian Border Force (ABF) headed the Australian delegation and comprised of Inspector Rebecca Fraser, Inspector Stathi Vamvoulidis, and ABF Coordinator Ms. Shashika Perera. Director General SLCG along with the Commanding Officer SLCG Waruna attended the meeting and had a fruitful discussion with the Australian delegation.

The discussion mainly focuses on providing assistance to improve the infrastructure facilities at the Advance Training Center, Kirinda and enhancing the capacity building of the SLCG.

Further, DG SLCG conveyed his appreciation for the long-term training assistance extended by the Australian government and ABF for the capacity improvement and infrastructure development of the SLCG for long period. The cordial meeting culminated with an exchange of mementoes.
