COAST GUARD RESCUED A RUSSIAN NATIONAL FROM DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Bentota beach saved a Russian national during a successful rescue attempt on 19th November 2022.

A 46-year-old Russian lady was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Bentota lifesaving post whilst drowning at sea. The expeditious response by skilled Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers managed to bring back hope for this drowning woman.

Up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1776 invaluable lives including 765 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
