COAST GUARD RESCUED A LOCAL FROM DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post, Benthota beach saved a local during a successful rescue attempt on 03rd December 2022.

A 14-year-old male teenager was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Benthota lifesaving post whilst drowning at sea and sent for emergency medical care by Suwaseriya Ambulance service to Teaching Hospital Nagoda.

Up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1784 invaluable lives including 765 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts around the country.
