Donation of a ship-in-a-box mockup to the SLCG by the EXBS Program

On 9^th December 2022, Export Control and Border Security officials from the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka visited the Advanced Training Center Kirinda. The purpose of the visit was to conclude the construction planning of the ship-in-a Box mockup, which is necessary for Coast Guard training associated with law enforcement. The discussions were attended by senior staff officer training, including representatives from Coast Guard Headquarters and the Officer in Command of the Advanced Training Center, Kirinda. After fruitful conversations, the U.S. Advisors on Export Control and Border Security have given the green light to commence work within two months after obtaining the approval. Furthermore, EXBS endeavors to donate a fully-fledged "Ship-in-a-Box" mockup for the Sri Lanka Coast Guard.
