COAST GUARD RESCUED THREE FOREIGNERS FROM DROWNING

The Lifesavers attached to Sri Lanka Coast Guard Lifesaving Post Mirissa beach saved three foreigners during a successful rescue attempt on 11th December 2022.

A 30 years old American female and two Russian males aged 32 & 36 years were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Mirissa beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents.

The swift response by skilled lifesavers of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to bring back hope for these three foreigners despite the heavy current existing in the area.

Up to now, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 768 lives of foreigners including 1020 locals in a number of successful rescue attempts.
