COAST GUARD RESCUED THREE CIVILIANS AT RISK OF DROWNING

Lifesavers attached to Coast Guard Lifesaving Posts, Mirissa and Panadura beach rescued three local males during successful rescue attempts on 18th December 2022.

A 36 years old male from Mt Lavinia and 35 years old male from Welisara were rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Mirissa beach whilst drowning and dragging away by currents near Mirissa beach. Another 17 years old boy resident of Moronthuduwa was rescued by Coast Guard rescuers at Panadura beach.

So far, Sri Lanka Coast Guard lifesavers have rescued a total of 1796 invaluable lives including 773 foreigners in a number of successful rescue attempts.
